About
Scott Cukras
I have been shooting photography since 2005 when I started with a borrowed Canon D60 and a borrowed Canon AE-1 from my dad and mom, respectively. I quickly took a liking to photography and got into shooting landscapes and architectural pieces. I enjoyed these genres of photography as they allowed me to grasp the fundamentals of photography while getting outside and exploring my hometown and the neighboring cities.
A few years after shooting landscapes and architecture, I transitioned into shooting with models. I found this type of photography brought a new challenge of working with people. I enjoyed the more technical aspect of portrait photography and exploring various genres therein. I eventually discovered editorial work and that's where I focus my efforts today as I find this to be the most challenging and allowing for a great reach of freedom and creativity. Not to mention getting to meet new, interesting and collaborative people along the way.
Hardware
I currently shoot a Canon 60D with a Canon EF 85mm f/1.2 II and a Sigma 35mm f/1.4 lens. I also enjoy shooting film on occasion, where I still use my Canon AE-1 as well as a Leica R6.
